1. Assemble the torch correctly
Install the torch correctly and carefully, make sure all parts fit well, and make sure the gas and cooling gas flow. Install all parts on a clean flannel to avoid dirt sticking to the parts.
2 .Consumable parts should be replaced in time before they are completely damaged
Consumable parts should not be replaced with completely damaged before replacement, because severely worn electrodes, nozzles and vortex rings will produce uncontrollable plasma arc, which is very likely to cause serious damage to the torch. So when the first time you find the cutting quality decline, you should check the consumable parts in time.
3. Clean the connection thread of the torch
When replacing consumable parts or daily maintenance and inspection, make sure that the inner and outer threads of the torch are clean, and if necessary, clean or repair the connection threads.
4. Clean the contact surface of electrode and nozzle.
In many torches, the contact surfaces of the nozzle and electrode are electrically charged contact surfaces. If these contact surfaces are dirty, the torch will not work properly.
5. Check the gas and cooling gas every day
Check the flow and pressure of the gas and cooling gas stream every day. If the flow is found to be insufficient or there is leakage, it should be shut down immediately to line up the fault.
6. Avoid torch collision damage
In order to avoid torch collision damage, should be correctly programmed to avoid the system overrun walking, the installation of collision avoidance device can effectively avoid the damage of the torch in case of collision.
7. The most common causes of torch damage
A. Torch collision.
B. Destructive plasma arc due to damage of consumable parts.
C. Destructive plasma arc caused by dirt.
D. Destructive plasma arc caused by loose parts.
8. Precautions
A. Do not apply grease on the torch.
B. Do not overuse the O-ring lubricant.
C. Do not spray splash-proof chemicals while the protective sleeve remains on the torch.
D. Do not use the manual torch as a hammer.
