What is mold machining?

Mold Making refers to the processing of molding and blank making tools, in addition to shear dies and die cutting dies. Usually, the mold has two parts: the upper mold and the lower mold. A steel plate is placed between the upper and lower dies and the material is formed under the action of a press. When the press is opened, the workpiece defined by the shape of the die is obtained or the corresponding waste material is removed. Workpieces as small as an electronic connector or as large as an automobile dashboard can be molded in a die. A progressive die is a set of molds that can automatically move the processed workpiece from one station to another and get the molded part at the last station. Mold processing technology includes: cutting die, blanking die, composite die, extrusion die, four-slide die, progressive die, stamping die, die-cutting die and so on.
