Metal Laser Engraving

Lasers can etch a wide variety of materials. Laser engraving is performed when the heat from the laser beam melts only the outermost layer of the material rather than melting it completely.

Simply put, the outer layer of the material is melted by the laser’s high power, which requires a significant amount of heat. In the engraved area, oxides are occasionally formed, thereby enhancing the clarity and visibility of the mark. By altering its reflectivity, metal laser engraving improves contrast. Very little material is removed.

It can be applied to plated, anodized, or bare metal surfaces. Gently etches oxides and metals. Removes less than 0.001 inches of material. Fast marking. Suitable for all metals.
