CNC milling is a computer-controlled machining technique. It uses cutting tools to remove material from a solid workpiece. There are two types of CNC milling machines commonly used in industry:
3-axis (X, Y, Z direction)
5-axis (X, Y, Z axes + A - rotary axis around X-axis, B - rotary axis around Y-axis)
CNC milling is a subtractive manufacturing process in which a computer-controlled cutting tool gradually removes material from a workpiece to create a desired shape or object. This process is accomplished through the use of machines known as CNC mills or CNC grinders. It is the most widely used machining process, the others being CNC turning and CNC drilling.
